The zoo trip was a lot of fun! The weather was perfect. We had a wonderful group of parent chaperones, too! Our students were excited to tell us afterwards about some of the animals they saw that we had talked about in our animal habitat unit. 😊
Since the weather has been warming up our students have been thirstier. Please remember to send a bottle of water to school every day!! GENERAL ACADEMICS: Spalding - Students will learn 10 new words Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The review is on Thursday and the test is on Friday. Math - Numbers to 120 with a focus on comparing numbers, number order, and adding. The adding will include 2-digit + 1-digit and 2-digit+2+digit with no renaming. *Note - The addition section friendly notes will be placed in your scholar's red folder on Thursday. History - A study guide for the unit test was sent home last Thursday. Today we reviewed in class. The test is tomorrow. Science - Geology Literature / Grammar / Writing - George the Drummer Boy Poetry - Since the poem is so long, we have divided it up into sections. This week is poetry recitations for the 1st three stanzas only. The 4th stanza is on the homework log but students are not responsible for it in the recitations.
