1ST GRADE CONCERT - MONDAY DECEMBER 2ND:
The K-2 concerts have been scheduled for the Monday we get back from Thanksgiving break. Please see the Athenian Echo and music blog for details about times and concert dress. The first grade concert begins at 6:00. First grade students must be present and ready for rehearsal at 5:30. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD HAS GONE TO THE RESTROOM BEFORE ARRIVING! You may pick up your scholars in the court yard after the concert. First grade scholars will have no homework that night. WE WILL NEED YOUR HELP: We always want to make sure our students are as safe as possible. After each concert, the teachers lead their students into the courtyard at the front of the church where parents can collect their scholars. This period of time can be the most stressful time of the night for us because, even with the lights, it is dark and difficult to clearly see. The best way that you can help us is to please be sure that we have visual contact of your child with you when picking them up. If you are unsure if we saw your child with you, please verbally let us know. Seeing your child with you and/or you telling us, "Mrs. Richards (or Mrs. Schulder, I have [Lucy]," will help us know your child is safe. Thank you so much! What a fun day we had! The first grade teaching team chose to dress in theme this year, so we all dressed as Ancient Egyptians. We had Rhodopis, the Maid with her milkpail, a medieval queen, the Queen of Hearts, Little Red Riding Hood, the White Rabbit, Frog, a knight, a wolf, an American soldier; I know I am missing some. They were all adorable!! SUPPLIES NEEDED: We are in need of disinfecting wipes, especially since this is the "sick" season! Thank you in advance! We spent a long time discussing the difference between the two words but it won't hurt to discuss it at home as well. Math - We start our Geometry unit today.
