GENERAL ACADEMICS FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW: Spalding - Students will learn 8 new words on Monday. The 8-word review and spelling test is on Tuesday. Distance Learners will be tested on these 8 words on Monday, November 30. Math – Comparing Numbers A “Friendly Notes” on the comparing numbers unit was sent home in the red homework folder today. Distance learners can find it and a copy of the textbook unit under the Parent Resources topic in Google Classroom. Xtramath – Remember that this is a required homework assignment; it is graded weekly. 3 days a week is the requirement. Note – if a session is not completed it is not counted. History - Ancient Egypt Today we reviewed the concepts taught in this unit, and the test is on Tuesday. Distance Learners will be tested on this unit on Monday, November 30. Literature - Our next book is Frog and Toad All Year. If you have not already done so, please send Frog and Toad All Year to school with your scholar by next Thursday, December 3. Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Literary and Historical Figure Day on Friday was fun! We had several Alice-es from Wonderland and Red Riding Hoods, a Matilda, a couple of ancient Egyptians and Greeks, several Frogs, a lion, Johnny Appleseed and Davy Crockett, a couple of Pocahontases, some princesses, and a dragon visit our class. It was fun to see a couple of our Distance Learners in costume, as well. Mrs. Richards dressed as a Pilgrim woman and won the best staff costume!
