We were both so encouraged and excited to talk to our scholars on the phone recently! If we weren’t able to reach you, we encourage you to email us, and we will respond as quickly as possible. It was fun to listen to all of the fun and exciting activities that they have been involved with their families during this time.
Week 2 Packets are ready for download. Packets can be found at the following link: https://archwaytriviumeast.greatheartsamerica.org/remote-learning/. It is password protected by one password for all: ATHENIANS (in all-caps). Math concepts this week are also review of numbers through 40. Continue to practice addition and subtraction methods. Your scholar should be completing XtraMath 5 days a week. XtraMath is the first math task every day, and students will be graded based on their daily participation and mastery. Week 2 Packets include Spalding review. These are words that we have learned in class and are practicing. Continue to practice phonograms both orally and written. Reading is an essential and foundation skill. Scholars should be reading every day. Grammar concepts include classifying sentences by finding the nouns and the verbs. Review definitions and the five parts of a sentence. Writing practice includes copy work. Please encourage your child to keep a journal. This is another great way to promote independent writing while also documenting a pivotal time in our history. In literature, scholars are listening to the folktale Thumbelina. Please be sure you are reading this section of the packet to or with your scholar. Scholars will answer questions about literary elements and comprehension questions about the story. History lessons this week are focusing on the events leading up to the American Revolution. In science, scholars will be learning about geology and the history of the earth. Please reach out via email if you have any questions or are in need of support with learning packets. [email protected] [email protected]

Hello! When we said good-bye to all of our students at the end of 3rd quarter, we assumed we would be seeing them two weeks later. How we miss of our scholars!
We are slowly learning some new technology. One of the things we are learn is how to record a video and upload it onto YouTube. Our first attempt has failed because it was too long! We will make another one and send you the link. In the meantime... AT HOME PACKETS: Mr. Philabaum sent out information about how to pick up or download the at-home packets to all ATE families last Friday. If you were not able to pick up a paper packet on Monday, here is the information on how to access it on your computer: Online PDF packets will be available electronically via our school website. They can be found at the following link: www.archwaytriviumeast.org/remote-learning. This page is password-protected by one password for all students; the password is the word ATHENIANS(in all-caps). The links to student packets for the week of March 23-27 will go live on Sunday afternoon, March 22. During the course of the regular school year, each lead teacher is in charge of planning a specific subject. Mrs. Spencer plans math, Mrs. Moreno plans ELA, and Mrs. Schulder and Mrs. Richards plan social studies and science. Mrs. Richards often helps plan Spalding, too. That remains the same for the at-home packets your receive this week. Everything in this week's packet is intended to be a review. Please read the directions carefully and e-mail us if you have questions about the packet content. PARENT COMMUNICATION: As stated above, please e-mail us if you have questions about anything, and we will do our best to answer as promptly as we can. You can also e-mail us just to tell us about something your child is doing or learning. We would love to see pictures of our scholars!! Looking forward to touching base with you again soon!
