PROJECT NIGHT:
Last week was a very, very busy week so it feels like project night took place many weeks ago rather than just a few days ago. It was my first Project Night, and I loved it! The students were so excited to dress up and share about their character. There were a lot of people around. The energy was high. Thank you to all who came. I hope you enjoyed your time. I KNOW the scholars enjoyed their time!!!!!!!!!! ACADEMICS: Spalding - Scholars will learn 10 new words today, 10 new words on Wednesday, review on Thursday, and take the 20- word test on Friday. PROJECT WEEK:
The students worked very hard in class on their project night summaries. Thank you for making sure the project week homework was completed as well. It helped each student complete what was needed each day. As I said in my email this morning, we did a lot of work in class, as well, so some nights nothing was sent home to work on. All written homework assignments for the project have been completed for everyone. Please practice with your student on reading their summaries; copies were sent home today in their red folders. On Tuesday, they will practice their presentation in class. PROJECT NIGHT: Information about project night was sent home with the project week letter last week, but I also included it again in today's homework folder. Please be sure to read over it carefully. Below are a few reminders: - Students need to be in their classrooms at 5:50 (or earlier). Parents will be able to visit the classrooms from 6 - 7 pm. Please take parking into consideration so that students will arrive on time. - Be sure to visit all three first grade classrooms as each classroom focused on different characters. - This is an open house event. Please be sure to visit all classrooms and all grade levels. - The first grade classrooms will be very full and very busy. If you wish to visit with friends and other parents please do so outside of the classroom. - I will be keeping a very active attention on the students so I will not be able to visit for extended periods of time. If you are interested in speaking with me about how your child is doing in school please contact me through Jupiter to schedule a conference. - When picking up your child at the end of the night, please be sure to let me know so that I can check him/her and know who he/she is leaving with. ACADEMICS: Spalding- Scholars will be learning ten new words on Monday, 8 words on Tuesday, and review will be on Thursday. The 18 - word test will be on Friday.
