Hello. I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful weekend.
Xtramath homework - Every scholar should be doing this math homework 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday.) They get two homework grades for it: a weekly grade and a quarter grade. Each week I get a report that shows me how often they logged in and completed a session. Their grade is based on how many sessions they completed per week (Monday through Sunday). Incomplete sessions don't count; and more than one session completed per day only counts for one day. Scholars need to finish the subtraction facts to 10 (or addition facts to 10 for our newest students) with 100% completion by the end of the quarter. Those who have finished both the addition and subtraction facts to 10 should now be working on the addition or subtraction facts program to 20. This xtramath program is helping your scholar master their basic math facts. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. ACADEMICS: Spalding - Students will learn 10 new words on Monday, 11 new words on Tuesday, and 9 new words on Wednesday. The review will be on Thursday and the 30 - word spelling test on Friday. Math - This week's focus is on subtraction within 100. The students took an addition quiz last week which was sent home in today's homework folders.
