Last week's field trip to Ballet Arizona was absolutley beautiful! Upon return all of six of the 1st grade teachers spoke about how well our scholars behaved. We felt that Archway Trivium East was the most well behaved school in attendance.
Last week's field trip to Ballet Arizona was absolutely beautiful! Upon return all of six of the 1st grade teachers spoke about how well our scholars behaved. We felt that Archway Trivium East was the most well behaved school in attendance. The students were fun to watch during recess on Thursday and Friday. Several of the boys were leaping across the field, one student was "teaching" a ballet class while several of her "students" followed her closely, and another group of students twirled in circles. ACADEMICS: Spalding - 10 new words on Monday - Wednesday, review on Thursday, spelling test on Friday. Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed the fall break with their children. Thank you to all who attended conferences. I enjoyed talking about each scholar and also enjoyed getting to know you a bit better.
FIELD TRIP FAQ: When is the field trip? The field trip is this Thursday, October 25th. Does my child have to wear his/her school uniform? Yes. Your child will need to wear the school uniform. What does my child need to bring to school on that day? Your child will need to bring the following items to school:
We will leave at approximately 8:30 and return at approximately 12:30. Our academic day will continue after we arrive back to school and eat lunch. Please contact me if you have any questions. PICTURE RETAKES: Picture retakes are this Friday, Oct. 26th. If you are planning to have your child get their picture retaken, please e-mail me through Jupiter and let me know. The front office would like an estimate of the number of students who are getting retakes. ACADEMICS: Spalding - There will be ten new words each day, a review on Thursday. The spelling test is on Friday. Math - We are working on addition and subtraction through 20. There will be a review on Wednesday and the spelling test will be on Thursday. MATH: We are starting a new unit on ordinal numbers this week. The ordinal number unit is very short. There are two days of lessons, one day of review, and the unit test on Thursday. SCIENCE: We will finish our electricity unit this week. We will review on Monday. There will be an electricity quiz on Tuesday. HISTORY: We will do a review of geography and Ancient Mesopotamia on Tuesday and a quiz on Thursday.
